It breaks my heart when I hear such a stunning model has had a crash :oh: - delighted to hear it will be rebuilt though.

You did a beautiful (and subtle) job with the weathering and the low camera angle certainly adds to the realism. Fabulous.

Cheers,

Paul

I'm so glad to hear you are going to repair this, it really is stunning and great inspiration to one as me just starting a scratch project, seeing your success is encouragement to me.

Were there any videos of it flying post the initial test flights?

I think the model looks more realistic than the full size Sea King!

Slightly smaller main wheels maybe?

Amazing work.

Sorry to hear of the crash, but glad to hear that you will be rebuilding!

It is so nice to see some pictures of others' builds. I've been trawling the web for other RC Sea Kings, but as the threads are all a couple of years old most of the pictures seem to be missing.

I guess I'm a couple of years late to the Sea King party!

Look forwards to some details on the rebuild. :dribble:

If you look on my web page there is a build up of my SeaKing, but it pales in comparison to this work of art I am afraid.

I bet when this is repaired and flying it will be a magnificent sight and i look forward to the videos of that

I have seen your build Peter, and I like it. I like it a lot!
I saw Freds RAF (yellow) Sea King on youtube a while back, then got a little excited when I spotted it in Model Helicopter World mag (I think I saw yours in there too?) and was hoping to get to see them in some more detail in the magazine.
Would be a nice swan song for when our armed forces retire them in the next few years...
I've been working on a HAR3A, but its only a tiddler at 500 size.
Marcel's (moba.ch) HAR5 in 500 size is another favourite of mine...

This 1/6 beast sure is a work of art tho' and it will be a joy to see some video clips. :dribble:
