AH-1G COBRA DETAILED COCKPIT

Postby dany golan » Tue Mar 22, 2011 3:33 am

Hello
I'd like to share with you my new project
These days I am working on an AH-1G Cobra scale cockpit project that I`m building for a friend.

The helicopter scale is 1:6.6

The cockpit is 100% scale including operational lighting system.
There is also a special light reflected on gunsight HUD

I use for the building mostly wood and aluminum. I use Polycarbonate for the instruments

Here are some pictures of construction process

hello WINGTIP
thanks
I use a thin aluminum sheet. I'm carving the letters in the inner side of the aluminium sheet in mirror writing. Then I glue the aluminum on the pedal.

Hi all,

I am the lucky person that Daniel built the scale AH-1G cockpit for. It is going to be put into my SAB Cobra once I have finished adding extra detiling to the rest of the Cobra.

I must tell you that Daniel is such a nice guy, a top class modeller and a real perfectionist in what he creates. The cockpit is just amazing with such attention to detail and is a true small replica of the real thing. I sent Daniel the measurements of my open cockpit and he built it to the exact measurements, even my scale pilots fit in perfectly and look right at home sat in it. All through the build Daniel kept me informed of his progress and sent lots of updated pictures for me to see as well.

If you are, like me, lucky enough to have Daniel build something for you then rest assured that it will be absolutely perfect in construction and a true copy of the original.

Once again Daniel thank you for all of your time and effort in making me one of the best scale Cobra cockpits that I have ever seen. Looking forward to getting the other parts you are hopefully going to make for me.....
