The Northwest Scale modelers would like to offer a scale only helicopter get together, Friday July 18 thru Sunday the 20th. We will be offering a Super Scale event (518 rules) if we have at least 3 entries. No other official competition is offered.

Landing fee will be $20. All proceeds will benefit the Fern Prairie Modelers field fund to assist with future field relocation expenses.

WHAT KIND OF FUN:

Ø       The field will be closed to anything but scale helicopters from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., open flying to include aircraft for the balance of the day. So bring whatever you want.

Ø       Bambi bucket instruction and play - have a spare channel plug, we can supply some buckets.

Ø       Instruction about what to do and how to be competitive for any 518 competition.

Ø       Tow dolly >competition.=(Make a tow dolly, tow it with an RC vehical, and take off and land if you dare.)

Ø       Platform landing pad, (elevated), and suggestions how too safely play in this manner.

Ø       Formation flying.

Dry camping ok, limited space. No arrivals before 7/17/2008 at 3 p.m. There is no water at the field. Hotels are in Portland and Vancouver. Closest choices are along Airport Way in Portland
