Bell 412 1:35 scale - how such a model is created

Post by Lupusprimus »

I have been repeatedly asked to show it to me how such a hull model for the little ones created. I ask my English to apologize, it's not perfect. My language effectively is German.
The starting point is a kit. It consists of film parts (here 0,2 mm) and attachments made of resin or which are 3D printed.

Many Thanks. I'm building since 2009 with some other buddys this small RC Helis, currently on the 49th model. That makes a lot of fun and you always learn again what.

The entrance for the mechanics and the battery is carried out via an opening in the roof. Which is fixed by magnets.
The mechanism is a modified Align Trex 150. Which is hung in the fuselage with bars and tubes made of carbon.

The next step is a horror for many. Filling and sanding. I use this a synthetic resin filler. If it visually makes a good impression, a light gray is sprayed to control. As you can see even the smallest mistake.
